Pitch Dark features legacy groundbreaking work by avant-garde composers and radio artists that include Jacki Apple*, Helen Thorington, Robert Ashley*, Bob Gregory*-Gustavo Matamoros, Donald Swearinger, and Gregory Whitehead*, presented in total darkness

Special guest, Dr. Guillermo Grenier — the spanish-speaking voice in Robert Ashley's Yellow Man With Heart With Wings, will join us to recount his involvement in this unique work.  

Dr. Guillermo Grenier is a Cuban-American writer whose voice is featured in the lovely music recording of Yellow Man With Heart With Wings | Part 1 - Spanish. He is director of the Florida Center for Labor Research and Studies and chairman of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Florida International University.
