Guatiao, we are happy to hear that your ceremony went well.  Although we had good weather we did not have the appropriate viewing equipment so we, too, watch the NASA website live broadcast from Hawaii.  There were some stunning images but we are looking forward to seeing your report and your photos.  Our love, hugs and blessings to you, your family, and all our Brothers and Sisters.  Taíno-tí... May YaYa and the Ancestors continue to Bless you all, now and always...

Beike,  I am so glad that that your ceremony was pleasing to all.  You had such a large number of participants, our Brothers & Sisters that YaYa brought together for ceremony.  Looking forward your VENUS blog.

Fifty of us  gathered at the Mesa Creative Arts Center near the border with West Virginia under a heavily overcast sky that rendered my carefully prepared eye-safe back-projection telescope rig totally irrelevant. In spite of that we were able to watch the whole dramatic phenomenon on the Nasa website live broadcast from Hawaii and that was still going on at 8:30 when our gathering wound down.

I will post a full report here when I get all the photos together but suffice it to say that in spite of the non-cooperative weather we had a fantastic time praying. chanting, drumming, lighting the two torches of the Full Moon Ceremony (yes, we did combine our Full Moon ceremony in with the venus transit observance). All in all it was awesome and I am very happy with the way things turned out. We also were very blessed!

We were blessed with beautiful clear weather here in the mountains of Borikén.  We prepared our batey, welcomed the spirits and gave thanks.  It was a wonderful, beautiful experience.  Surrounded by nature with our bare feet upon Mother Earth, Atabei, we felt the love and the light, we felt a shift in energy, we felt connected, and we are thankful.  Hahom, familia... Taíno-tí... We love you all... We Are All One... One Spirit, One Family, One Creation... May YaYa and the Ancestors Bless us all, now and always... Seneko Kakona...

The transit was very profound here in az. Quakamaya kicked in close to 3:oo and blew heavily till just after  7:oo. After all the wild winds you could here a pin drop. I felt it had a very clearing energy about it. The ceremony I did was a quiet one and very personal. I could feel a shift that I feel is a movement towards peace

My Relatives

Its OK if you can not celebrate this event i person here with us. Please note that you still have time to contact your local astronomy club or astronomy organization and ask what they plan to do for trhat day. There may be a chance that you too may be able to participate from far away in this event in one way or another. In any case there is a website in Hawaii that will broadcast online the full phenomenon, and since they are in a geographical location that allows them to see more of the event than where we are because the sun sets later there than here, they will be able to show online what is happening on the face of the sun long after it has already set and gone out of sight for us here in North America.

My sister Menase

I totally understand and agree with you that your place on that day is there, however I feel that in a way we are going to be together as we each participate in our own celebration of respect.
