This sounds like a wonderful event, but here in Michigan there are many ceremonies going on at the same time. We wil have our sunrise pipe ceremony and water offering on the 6th...as we give honor and respect to the 157 of our children who died in the Boarding School here. We have a sacred run...and much healing will be happening. My thoughts and my heart will be with you on the 5th, and if the Creator wills it, someday I will be proud to join you in the ceremonial circle. Its great just to know that you will be with us in spirit brother! Dont try to look straight at the sun for this event, especially through anyknd of device like a telescope. It will fry your retina! If you cant get the proper eye protection to watch the phenomenon just know that it is happening and pray with us.

Thanks for the invite , but can't make the trip cross country. I will hold ceremony here in Arizona. It will have to be firerless due to the drought and wildfires, but I can still burn sage and sweetgrass, and use my pipe. We will be with you in spirit. Would you have me do any thing special.

Hahom for the invitation.  Although we can not be with you all in body, we will be with you all in spirit (with our drums and rattles)... :)
