Takaji (greetings) My Relatives

We here at the Caney Circle Verona, PA teaching lodge are getting ready for our FULL MOON CEREMONY this Sunday Jan 27 2013.

Please be aware that we have decided not to include our usual guanara sweatlodge ritual after the regular circle ceremony this weekend due to the extremely cold weather that we have been experiencing in the Pittsburgh area recently. I know that those of you  who are used to North American sweatlodge tradition would not see cold weather as a legitimate reasin to not have a sweat and that rolling in the snow after coming out of the lodge is an accepted fact. However we must remind you that we are a tropical people and celebrating a sweatlodge ceremony in 9 degree farenheight wather with minus 5 degree wind chill factor is definitely not madatory in Taino culture. We welcome your participation in our beautiful circle ceremony honoring the 28-day cycle of our Earth Mother and look forward to some great chanting and drumming in the warmth of our western Pennsylvania home. My dear sister Joanna

You and your family are always with us in all our prayers. Never too far away. I still look forward to attending the August  Jornada in Jayuya. With  much love to all my relatives in Boriken.

Hahóm for the invitation, Guatiao.  My family and I would love to be able to physically attend but we cannot make the trip to Pennsylvania from Borikén (aka Puerto Rico) at this time.  However, as always, we will be with you all in Spirit and we send you our Love, Blessings and Good Wishes.  We know that a wonderful time will be had by all.
Taíno-tí,
Love, Hugs, Peace & Blessings,
