I'm a second generation (to both dominican parents) from NYC. I have a rather strange view on this.
I cannot disown either of my progenitors without disowning myself.
Im Spanish. Im of Roman descendent; our government is literally based off of it, so I know I have ancestors who made huge contributions to the Western world pre dark age.
Im Indigenous too and it seems to me that this land was destined to be where mankind was to come together.
Im also a child of the conscious I can't help but think that this is all for a reason.
We are a new race, in an america that is so racially divided, the taino and the indigenous still accepted them all.
When we refer to either side of the world, we are children of both sides.
Some people love American Politics so much but proclaim descendency beyond the danube and the rhine.
If we as children of god allow them to have a place her then so can we.
