There is also a Cherokee story about hungry (bad) boys floating up to create the Pleiades (http://www.ilhawaii.net/~stony/597myths.html). What does this mean that there are so many stories about the Pleiades and hungry children? Does this simply indicate that all of our Native relatives are truly related, that we simply shared our stories far and wide, or that somehow we have all intuited some sort of connection with the Pleiades and hunger and/or children?

Perhaps one thing it shows is a close connection between South American, Caribbean, and North American Natives.

I love the connection whatever it means. Always happy to help, d'atiao…tag:indigenouscaribbean.ning.com,2015-01-23:2030313:Comment:1082672015-01-23T20:37:56.572ZJoanna 'Aya' Soto-Aviléshttp://indigenouscaribbean.ning.com/profile/JoannaSotoAviles

I just finished figuring out how to upload the article so I am uploading it now for anyone else interested in the article. I mistakenly thought I could only upload pictures and media, and I also mistakenly thought the file was over 5MB. Anyway, here is the article "Astronomy in Taíno Mythology" by Sebastian Robiou-Lamarche, Archaeoastronomy, pp. 110-115.
