I am very concerned about the digging at the sacred Taino site in Barrio Jacanas, Ponce, and that some of the Taino artifacts were taken to Atlanta, Georgia---away from the island where they belong. I 've read what happened before with the US Army Corps of Engineers at the site in Arecibo. I am very concerned that our ancestors artifacts are being taken without permission and/or being studied in the US, when they could easily be studied at the University of Puerto Rico.
