These are images of the new stuffed cotton fabric effigy of a snake head created to be used in the Boa Constrictor Serpent Dance that is part of the CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE Equinox ceremony. For the past thirtythree years we have been celebrating this ceremony using cotton ropes to represent the snake's body but there was never anything to represent the snake's head. Now we have this object that is directly inspired by a famous Taino stone sculpture of a snake.
