This is a photo of the Nepoyo and Worao from south Trinidad that travel to Venezuela to scavenge through the garbage to survive. This happens when Illegal Quarrying drives them from their homes and hunting grounds. The Trinidad and Tobago government chooses to state that they do not exist, and uses the Census as evidence of their non existence. While the Census does not have a legal classification of Indigenous peoples, but does have over 10,000 unclassified and 238,000 people who chose mixed and other.
