Dennis It was wonderful to have spent that time with you and your lady down at Miami Circle yesterday. I appologize if I sometimes got you confused with Joey Sea Turtle. It must be my aging mind!!! Your food sharing was awesome and your generosity and friendly personality was very welcome. I lok forwrad to coninung our excanges here an on Facebook.
I hope you are well. I just wanted to touch base since I am still very interested in communicating with fellow Tainos of Cuban heritage in the Florida area. I look forwrad to exchanges with you.
As it happens, there is a wonderful lady that lives here in Miami called Grandmother Mildred Karaira. She is from Boriken (Puerto Rico). She is the local representative of the United Confederation of Taino People in the South Florida region, and is a healer. She is available on facebook. I connected another young Cuban sister with her some months ago who was having health problems and it is almost miraculous how much better the young woman was doing this past weekend when I saw her! I look forward to staying in touch with you my brother. We Cubans who identify as Tainos are few and far between and so we must make ourself visible in the Taino Resurgence Movement. Blessings to you and your loved ones during this holiday season.
Welcome to our network. I wish I would ave nown about you before last weekend. Our CANY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE celebratd our sixth annual Taino Inigenous Winter Solstice Ceremony in Miami this past Sunday and it would have been a real honor to have had you present for that event. I am Cuban-American also. I look forward to meeting you next time I am in the area.
