I have the People's Garifuna Dictionary if that's the one you have. But there is a newer trilingual dictionary that I've borrowed from my University's library. It's called Hererun Wachuchagu (the first "u" in Wachuchagu is dotted") but I can't find it anywhere to buy. I would really like the Arawak dictionary by Damon Corrie. That reminds me I should go ask him about it. :)

Yes David, in fact from about June or so I should be in a position to really start catching up on commitments like the Taino dictionary, and I might be able to get a head start sooner than that. I keep a really detailed file of things that need to be added, updated, etc., so it is not lost. Thanks very much for your own patience with this, and especially for your own contributions.

Hahaha, glad you figured out how to write back. I don't know the exact date I'll be back in NY but I'll be back for a bit this summer.

Mabuwika, is pronounced the same as mabwika. I write it like "buwi" instead of "bwi" because I think it's just the vowel "u" being lost in fast speech. I'll have to figure that out for sure.

David, I am very happy to see you here! I also noticed that you seem to be resistant to the aging process unlike, ahem, "some of us". Thanks very much for creating this profile, it's great to have you here, and I am happy to see that your fellow language traveler, Keisha, has already welcomed you. The network is still growing, and I think it could have some great potential, but it is entirely up to members to decide what to do with it. For once, I am not the gatekeeper, but more of a window dresser.
