Event Description

The Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle is pleased to invite all Tainos and those who respect the ways of the Tainos to participate with us in ths year's Spring Equinox Ceremony at the Singing Winds site of the Council Of Three Rivers American Indian Center in Dorseyville.

We will honor Ata Bey the female spirit of the Maternal Earth and of the waters of the Earth, and thank her for her generosity as the year begins a new cycle of fertility and Life.

Our Ceremony will culminate in the ritual of separating the three-pointed image of Yoka Hu from the womb-shaped oval hoop of the stone Coa, an act that will represent the birth of the spirit of Life, Yoka Hu and his rising from the divine uterine place where he has gestated since Winter Solstice.

All women will be honored in respect for their sacred connection to the Divine Woman.

It just occurred to me that what you might mean is that you will be busy with the preparations leading up to the March 21st event. If that is what you meant then indeed you WILL be with us here in spirit on the 15th and then I will join all of you the following week.

Tau Monika
remember that I am going to be with you at 8000 drums in Georgia on the 21st. That is the reason that we are celebrating Equinox a week earlier on the 15th (you missed the date on this event here).
So if there s any way that you can make it to Pittsburgh on the 15th I will have the honor of celebrating Equinox two times with you.

Tau my sister
what do you mean that you will not be here? You know that when your spirit is with us, you are with us. As always, sister, a powerful blessing to you, to your great husband (I am smoking a nice Cohiba Churchil right now and thinking of him!) and your son. May your whole family emain strong in the ways of our ancestors.

Takahi Miguel & Family,
Bo-matum for the invitation, Guatiao. My family and I would love to be able to physically attend the Caney's Equinox Ceremony but we cannot make the trip to Pittsburgh from Boriké (aka Puerto Rico) at this time. However, we will be with you all in Spirit and we send you our Love, Blessings and Good Wishes. We know that a wonderful time will be had by all.
Tio Bo Guatukan (Ancestral Blessings),
Love, Hugs, Peace, Blessings & Taíno-tí,
Joanna & Family
