Event Description

You are invited to participate in our annual Taino Indigenous Spring Equinox ceremony. There will be traditional prayer, chants and dance. You are strongly encouraged to bring your drums and rattles if you own these.

The main circle ceremony will be followed by a guanara (sweatlodge) ritual. If you plan to participate in the sweat please bring a change of loose-fitting clothes that you do not mind getting wet to go into the lodge. Shorts or sweat pants and t-shirt are appropriate. You should also bring two towels, one for inside the sweat and another to dry yourself after the ceremony.

Please bring a covered dish or any kind of food to share after ceremony.

This ceremony is free to all genuine participants, however all voluntary donations or contributions are welcome and appreciated to defray the costs of the event.

Hahóm for the invitation, Guatiao.  My family and I would love to be able to physically attend but we cannot make the trip to Pennsylvania from Borikén (aka Puerto Rico) at this time.  However, as always, we will be with you all in Spirit and we send you our Love, Blessings and Good Wishes.  We know that a wonderful time will be had by all.  Please give our love to everyone.  Hope to see you at the Taino Awards this year in New York on April 20th.
Love, Hugs, Peace & Blessings,
Seneko Kakona,
Joanna (Aya) & Family
