It's a pleasure to see you here Sylvester, please don't hesitate to contact me if you encounter any difficulties in using the network. You have a very interesting background, and I wonder what you feel about life in Trinidad coming from St. Lucia.
Hallo Sir,
I saw on your profile that you are working as a sustainable tourist consultant, correct?
I am about to finish my M.A in Social Anthropology, concerning tourism development in Dominica and the impact on the Carib inidians. As an anthropologist my main focus is not primarily tourism developments, but rather the changes in the life style within the limited group of Carib Indians in Dominica. But since the tourism industry is the largest and fastest growing industry in Dominica, naturally I have to focus on that.
Perhaps you could help me getting up dated about the current (tourism) situation in the Caribbean? Sitting here on the other side of the Atlantic ocean, it is hard to get the complete picture of what is going on "over there".
I have several questions to ask, so please get back to me if you are interested in helping me out!
Thank you so much for the contact Sylvester,
I will try and contact Jennifer as soon as possible to hear about her work. I will get back to you soon!

Hallo again Sylvester,
I have not heard from your friend yet - still hoping she will reply.
In the mean time - do you have any knowledge about how much interaction there is between Caribs from Dominica, and their "relatives" in Trinidad/Tobago?
Dominica as a nation is to some extent using the Caribs as a kind of tourist attraction - how is the situation in T/T?
Don't get me wrong - almost all the Caribs I have been in contact with wants more tourists to the island - as do the rest of the Dominicans - since that generates money. But I still find it interesting that the Dominica "government" is trying to attract tourists to Dominica by putting forward the Caribs - especially since they don't always seem to share the same view about things... :-)
Any thoughts?
