    TAKAHI, TATIAO ROGER,
THANKS FOR BEING A FRIEND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, MY BROTHER.
hOW ARE THINGS WITH YOU? IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE TALKED. SOME TIME AGO (LAST YEAR) I WROTE TO YOU ABOUT GETTING SOME TATOOS FROM YOU. HOWEVER, MY MAIL MUST'VE BEEN LOST.
PRIOR TO THAT, YOU HAD SENT SOME OF YOUR TATOOS AND A VIDEO OF A TAINO PAGEANT IN BORIKEN. WOULD I BE ABLE TO PURCHASE TATOOS FROM YOU? THE LAST OF MY TATOOS WERE DISCARDED AT A POWWOW, BY MY NIECE LAST SUMMER.YOUR LAST QUOTE WAS $15. ALSO, DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR SHOP?

thank you...I will check it out...but don't need another social network to add to my forever growing lists!! Yes...near Tibes..there is a small coffee plantation that has been in the family for generation upon generation...the land there was gifted by ancestors to newer generations and a few family members still reside there today.

Tau Roger, thank you for your invitation to this site! How are you? It's been a while since we last met el Jornado en Jayuya. We are presently staying in our townhouse in Albany, New York. We plan on being here for a while, but I thank you for your warm invitation. You are also welcomed to our home here and in Aguadilla. Keep me posted on the progress of our brothers and sister in Boriken. Hopefully I will be able to attend a few activities while here. My mom is with me and it has become difficult for her to walk for any length of time. But she loves the few Taino functions that we have attended together. Give my regards to all!

    Well,
I would have to say that my favorite pictures would have to be of the Piedra Escrita. Being in the sacred waters and feeling the vibrations of the piedra and the cool waters as I took the pictures did something to me. I will never be the same!!!
    Blessings!!

I am doing fine, just trying to stay dry and warm. How are you doing?
Yes I have been to Gilligan Island. When we finally made it to the island it was because we got there at 7:30 a.m.
I was really looking forward to attending el Jornado in Jayuya este ano, but I am stuck in here till 12/14.
    Take care!
Please give my regards to Elba, Abuela, and Joanna.

The Americano is what the locals have named him and it stuck. He is my brother. When you are told you are not a local than you accept it and move on.
The nites here are fantastic. The one thing I don't miss is the Boriken heatwave.
  • Connie Laboy Torres

I am presently experiencing some internet issues so I hope this goes thru. El Americano is my brother. He was labled so by the locals and it stuck. He figured why change it now that many know him by that name. I tried viewing the pics you stated is posted but I didn't view anything bearing my brother's face or his small business. By the way my brother was denied help from the Labor Dept. because he was not born in Boriken. He is not the only person I know that this has happened to. You do what you have to do legally to survive! He really enjoys his little corner of paradise. I'll let him know that we chatted.

Perhaps we meet at Lago Garzas kayak races? I would like to buy one...
I am a member of the Adjuntas Gifgante Fishing Club and I capture mostly photographs while fishing than I do actual fish.
    Whish is your favorite beach?
I studied oceanagraphy and love exploring the coast.
    We need to talk....
