Hi!
I’m a 20 year old based in Central Florida trying to make connections with the culture my grandfather left with my family prior to his passing. As a kid, he taught me to be proud of my taíno heritage and encouraged me to learn and embrace as much as I could with the hopes of keeping his ancestors culture alive through us. As an adult, I am seeking to reconnect with this part of myself, as my family’s grief at his passing prohibited any further learning and engagement with our heritage from them.
