About Me:
I am a mixed West Indian American. My surname hails from the islands of Nevis & St. Kitts in the caribbean, but I was born on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands of the United States - (Formerly the Danish West Indies). I have my own business and is currently trying to progress as a young professional in the Caribbean. I am trying to obtain my master's in entertainment business. I have always been interested in learning more about the indians of the Caribbean and atlantic region. I was told from family historians that my mothers side of the family has native ciboney, arawak, taino, carib, mayan, seminole indian, african, and european and my fathers side of the family has african, asian, european, and also native indian ancestry. So, one can see why I have such general interests. I am trying to connect and will be planning to do an extensive research within the next 5 years during my spear time. I hope that with collaboration on this site, we will all get some well creditable information on Native Indian History respectfully and can share in presenting the truth that there are still living ancestry of these tribes mixed or not. We are all one family unda de sun and people of the sacred blue waters. (Aburakeiru will lead the pack!)

Good day,
I picked interest in you after going through your short profile and demanding it is necessary for me to write to you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on (ronaldmorr001@gmail.com) for full details.
Best regards,

Takaji (Good Day) Abdul,

Thank you for your posting. In answer to your first question, yes, there are sacred ceremonial centers where we still practice our traditions. As to learning about the culture, the best way to learn about our culture is to come to Borikén and visit with the Elders. Regarding a Blessing Ceremony, one should definitely be performed when there has been a desecration such as the one you described. We performed such a ceremony in Bo. Jacanas in Tibes, Ponce, because of the digging and desecration that occurred at that sacred site. We also did ceremony in Bo. Coabey, Jayuya, when we re-buried the remains of an ancestor for the first time in over 500 years. But again, these are things that take time to learn and are best learned in person. If you happen to come to Borikén, let us know and maybe we can help you meet with some of the Elders.

Until next time, may YaYa Bless you and your loved ones, now and always.

Omá Baharí (With Respect),
Tio Bo Guatukan (Ancestral Blessings),
Love, Hugs, Peace & Taíno-tí (We Honor the Good/Light in You),
Joanna
