About Me:
I am mix blood but claim my Taino Heritage from my Mothers side Native to the Coa Yauco region of Bodiken that side goes back to 1863 and my Mitrachondrial is Haplo A Pre Columbian Native American.All sides of my mother and fathers side came from Bodken as Jibaros and also have records dating to 1904 all sides migrated to Hawaii .My Grandmother was born on the Plantation near Hilo Hawaii in 1906 called Pepakea and her Mother Candita Pacheco Originated from the Mountain Area of the Coa Yauco i have actual stamped records from the Cathloic Dicess in Yauco Region dated1864 listed as other meaning not of Spainish blood of Bodiken and Migrated to Hawaii in the Late 1800s to Hawaii some Taino traits were passed down from that side and were known through the Rivera Familie that grew up with my Great Grandmother.They also traveled together from Yauco to Hawaii to Pepakea plantation.then to Mission District in San Francisco at 23rd and Dolores St.where my Mother Dolores Medina Maldonado was born in 1926.We never knew her father he left as a Merchant seaman never to return His name was Herminio Medina born 1907 or 1908 from Vega Baja his brother was Teadore Medina his Mother Maiden Name was Dolores Avilles
My Fathers side my Grandmother was

My Fathers side his mother was Tomasa Rodrigues born June 27th 1893 in Adjuntas her father was Rafino Rodrigues and Mother Maria de La Cruz Batista also related to Batista The late Prim Minister of Cuba I need not mention yan yan Katu.My Grandfather was Carlos Juan Maldonado in Puerto Rico they were married in 1909 in Ponce Puerto Rico Tomasa Rodrigues her mother was a Batista then Rodrigues by Mariage.
and Carlos Maldonado shortly there after they migrated to the United States coming by Boat from Puerto Rico to Corpus Christy Texas then overland to California and then by boat to Hawaii.
While living and aorking on the Plantation my Auntie Cruzie was born on the plantation in Kawai.
In around 1911 the came to California in the town of Hayward my Grandfather was of Spainish blood and my Grandmother was mix blood . They both became religiouse and started the Church Templo De La Cruz in Ramos Camp a barrio in Hayward of many Puerto Rican families that got here the same way from the migration.My Grandmother made Doolittles and bedspreads and Crochet a lot and was a midwife and to many motherauas in that community.they are buried at Lone Tree Cematary in Hayward Califonia so here I am and I am very proud of my mix Native Blood Daca Taino Mobatum YaYa
