Profile Information

About Me:
I am a Visual artist, teacher, performer, and scenic painter. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My initial education in visual arts was at the Central High School of Visual Arts where I completed a certificate in Advertising Art Design. I have a BA in Communications, specialized in Graphic Design from the University of Puerto Rico. Before moving to New York City I did multiple art exhibits in Puerto Rico including my participation as a student artist at Escuela Central de Artes Visuales from 1993-1998. I‘ve explored topics such as human feelings, the Earth and socio-economic issues through art. After I moved to Brooklyn I started collaborating as an actress, set designer and teaching artist in different cities of the tristate area. I studied drawing and painting at Parsons School of Design/The New School in New York. She is a former member of the Brooklyn Arts Space. In 2016 I was a featured artist at the 5th Bronx Latin American Art Biennial. I have collaborated as a scenic painter for The Little Red School theater productions and as an invited artist in the weekly live painting event Collage NYC. I am also a member of El Puente CADRE (Community Artists’ Development & Resource Exchange) where I collaborate as an artist as well as in the creation of art events for the community of Brooklyn. My most recent art work can be seen in the illustrations and cover for the poetry book “Encuentros: Poetic Multidisciplinar and Interactive Anthology” by Jorge Luis Berrios.
