HI friend I'm a carib indian (kalinago indian) also. Would you mind indicating your family name by father? I know a jarvis person but need to be sure. I'm resident in the kalinago territory. waiting to hear from you
Sorry I could get person with email contact but perhaps Everlyn Barrie (mustiqe@yoo.com) Or Mia and Provin ( miacaraprovin@gmail.com might help you be connected.
Thankz for accepting my friendship. I am happy to be connected to you and your people. It has been a dream of mine to meet your people which I did eventually about a decade ago.
I would like encourage the small groups who still know their language to pass it on to their young.
One time also I was thinking that a few can go to Guyana to be among the Caribs there to learn the language but I never persue the idea. Our Language is so important - that every one us should do some thing to preserve them.
My music began for the same reason - did you listen to my Macushi songs? Please do. It very similar to your People's Language.
What I am saying is that the person/s who yu are looking for might not be connected to interet - hence being there might be better.
I do have a contact in the reserve if you are interested.
Perhaps you need to visit there. I have been there (Carib Reserve) and I don't think every has the access to internet.
