Tau My Relatives
In spite of the forceful weather that prevented us from celebrating our Summer Solstice Ceremony outside at the public park in Youngstown, Ohio this past Saturday the Sague family and the Simmons family did get together and we did celebrate the sacred seasonal event at my house in the Pittsburgh suburban community of Verona. Because the ritual was a much more intimate and private one as compared to the more elaborate ceremony celebrated during a public Summer Solstice event we followed the scaled down version of the observance as laid out in the personal ritual pages of the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle 's w....

I am so happy to hear that plans are underway for future celebrations in Youngstown sister, especially the Summer Solstice of next year 2010 .
I am very excited with the prospects in the Ohio area and I believe that Ohio Tainos are really ready to awaken to the Resurgence and all they need is a little nudge. At this point I am looking at Saturday September 5 for a Full Moon celebration in Youngstown. All I need is the go-ahead from you that you have been succesful in securing a locale for the event and we can go forward with the publicity so that people can find out that it's happening.
Good luck and I look forward to your word on this.

Takahi, Bo Miguel,
I am glad to see your pictures of yur celebration. It was quite wet in Youngstown. Our home was safe, however, other parts of th county had trees uprooted. Actually, up the road from me, a large Oak tree was uprooted.
Many people showed up for the celebration. These people hadn'tlistened to the radio stations. Needless to say, they commuicated this to me. Several of these people were university staff. However, I haven't lost hope! I'm in the process of trying to secure a place for la celebracion del la luna llena for Sept. 5, 2009. I have secured a place fr next year's summer solstice, June 19,2010
