Good day,
I picked interest in you after going through your short profile and demanding it is necessary for me to write to you immediately. I have something very important to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on (ronaldmorr001@gmail.com) for full details.
Best regards,

Hi there,
although I am very much interested in indegenous things I have not looked at or researched on the topic. I have seen them in real life but never on books. Sorry I cannot help. Good luck with your project.

Hi, it's been awhile since I've contacted you, but the Mid-Winter ceremony is coming up in February and wondered if you would be interested in attending. Please write me back so I can send you the particulars if you will be going.

take care,
Gina

Give me a few weeks. If you have not heard anything by mid-January, please send me a reminder. Thanks.

In addition to the books already recommended, I would add the 1979 volume by Eugenio Fernandez Mendez, titled Arte y Mitologia de los Indios Tainos de Las Antillas Mayores. It may be a little difficult to find. If you need it, but cannot get a copy, please let me know and I could probably send you a pdf of it. Good luck.

Hi, I haven't forgotten you. I've been on travel and my life has been crazy. Hopefully things will calm down in December. There will be a ceremony in February that you can attend. Also in April/May we are planning an event locally and will give you details as I get them. Will ask about the graphic designer position to my boss again. Thanks for keeping in touch!

Tau (Greetings) Brother
I am also an artist, and I am acquainted with the sister RixTurey who left a comment here back in October. I hope you took her up on her offer because ths sister is a very goo dperson and really has her act together in terms of the use of Taino symbols in her art.
Because I am an atist also I too use the symbology of our ancestors a great deal in my art and i look foward to dialogue with you about this topic.

Other very insighful books on petroglyphs are the following: (In Spanish) Petroglifos Indigenas de Puerto Rico, by Nelson Rafael Collazo. Tainos y Caribes Las culturas aborigenes, by Sebastian Robiou Lamarche. Taino: Precolombian Art and Culture from the Caribbean, put together by El Museo del Barrio(In English and Spanish). In regards to genealogy, what sort of info are you seeking?
Your artwork is awesome and I hope this was helpful.

Hi again, Just looked at your website, loved your work and found out that you are in the DC area. If you would like to attend some native ceremonies in the area, email me and I'll give you the info. They aren't Taino per se, but are good for the soul. I am also an artist/graphic designer and use Taino symbols in my work a lot.

Hi, A really great book (in Spanish) that has a lot of symbols and their meanings is "El Aguila y El Jaguar" by Antonio Blasini. He has some interesting theories on the interrelationships between the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. I don't know if you can get it over the internet, but its worth a try. Good luck.
