Earth Mother's Song from the audiotape SONGS OF BLEEDING by Spider (Guaba Guarikoku) (c) 1991---- This song was composed in 1981 by Behike Miguel Sobaoko Koromo Sague, founder and lead guide of the CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE which was formally established that year. The song was recorded and released in the form of a cassette audiotape as part of a compendium of sacred songs called SONGS OF BLEEDING by an associate and fellow behike of the Caney Circle, Guaba GuarikoKu (Spider) in 1991. This audiotape was meant to be a companion piece for Spider's book SONGS OF BLEEDING, published the same year which dealt with a variety of women's ritual and spiritual tradition from several Indigenous cultures, including the Taino tribal culture followed by the Caney Circle. The book included the lyrics of this song.
