I'm so happy I found this website. I found this album and it's very well done. This song moved me a lot because it was about the Taínos which is really "La borinqueña" He named it "Isla Borikén". Then I saw he made it in the langue Taíno-Borikenaíki with the other revolutionary version song "Borikén'ât Aréytoarát". This artist is trying to keep the old tradition with a modern twist. He seems to be trying to reach a younger crowd by having them hear some old Taíno words by repetition and this I believe is a good thing. In each song, you hear the trumpet of seashells and maracas with drums. I also have been watching and enjoying videos from Miguel Sague Jr's page. Thank you very much Miguel for such wonderful information. I put the Taíno-Borikenaíki version of "La borinqueña" below.
