Jornada Indígena de Jayuya ---- Indigenous Ceremony of Jayuya

Llegué al pueblo de Jayuya acompañando de mis herman@s espirituales, Merlin, la madre de Merlin, Yerut, y Lizzy Sarobey. 

I arrived in the town of Jayuya in the company of my spiritual brothers and sisters, Merlin, Merlin's mother, Yerut, and Lizzy Sarobey. 

En el centro del batey ceremonial cerca del Museo del Cemi de Jayuya le dedique dos canciones rituales del Círculo Caney a los cemies Atabey y Yokahu. Me acompañaron algunos de los que estaban presentes que se sabían las canciones.

At the center of the ceremonial batey, near Jayuya's Cemi Museum I dedicated two Caney Circle ritual songs to the cemies Atabey and Yokahu. I was accompanied by others present who happened to know the lyrics to the songs.

Tuve el honor de pasar un rato muy grato conversando con la amiga de largo tiempo, Bibi Margie Kukuya Noguera, quien organiza este evento anual por más de treinta años. 

I had the honor of spending a wonderful moment in conversation with long-time friend, Bibi Margie Kukuya Noguera, who has been organizing this annual event for over thirty years. 

También tuve el placer de encontrarme con otros compañeros de muchos años, entre ellos el organizador del famoso grupo de danzas tainas ESENCIA TABONUCO, Melvin Gonzalez.

Also, I had the pleasure of meeting and greeting other collaborators of many years, among them the organizer of the famous Taino dance ensemble ESENCIA TABONUCO,
