Jayuya, Puerto Rico - La Cooperativa de Artesanos de la Tierra Alta (CATTA-COOP, INC.) y el Municipio Autónomo de Jayuya les invitan a la 5ta Jornada Indígena-Taína, “GUATEKE TAÍNO.” El propósito del evento es “Sanando el Corazón de la Tierra en el Camino al 2012.”

Este evento se llevará a cabo el 14, 15 y 16 de Agosto del 2009 en las facilidades del Centro de Arte y Cultura Elpidio Collazo González (Maboití), antiguamente llamado CEDETRA, en el Bo. Coabey, Carr. 144 - Km. 9.3, Jayuya, Puerto Rico en el Área de los “Bateyes.”

Fechas y Horarios son los siguientes:

* Viernes, 14 de Agosto, 7:00 p.m.
- Apertura de Exhibición de Arte Joven “Sanación de la Tierra”

* Sábado, 15 de Agosto
- Areyto de dos días con Danza, Música, Canción, Conferencias, Talleres, Juego de Batey, etc.
- 6:00 a.m. – Ceremonia de Apertura – Encendido de la Llama de Amor
- 10:00 a.m. – Feria Artesanal

* Domingo, 16 de Agosto
- Las actividades terminan a las 6:00 p.m. con la Ceremonia del GUATIAO (Haciendo Familia).

Entrada es LIBRE DE COSTO.

NO se permite Neveritas con Alcohol / NO Alcohol / NO Drogas.

Hay espacios para acampar disponibles (favor llamar para confirmar y reservar).

Donaciones son aceptadas y agradecidas, y voluntarios están bienvenidos.

Jayuya, Puerto Rico – The Artisan Cooperative of the High Land (CATTA-COOP, INC.) and the Autonomous Municipality of Jayuya invite you to the 5th Taíno-Indigenous Gathering, “GUATEKE TAÍNO.” The purpose for this event is “Healing the Heart of the Earth on the Way to 2012.”

This event will take place on August 14, 15 & 16, 2009, in the facilities of the Elpidio Collazo González (Maboití) Center of Art and Culture, formerly known as CEDETRA, in Bo. Coabey, Carr. 144 - Km. 9.3, Jayuya, Puerto Rico in the Area of the “Bateyes.”
Dates and Times are as follows:

* Friday, August 14, 7:00 p.m.
- Opening for the Youth Art Exhibit “Healing of the Earth”

* Saturday, August 15
- 2-Day Areyto with Dance, Music, Singing, Conferences, Workshops, Batey Game, etc.
- 6:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony – Lighting of the Flame of Love
- 10:00 a.m. – Artisan Fair

* Sunday, August 16
- The activities end at 6:00 p.m. with the GUATIAO (Making Relations) Ceremony.

Admission is FREE.

NO Coolers with Alcohol / NO Alcohol / NO Drugs.

Spaces for camping are available (please call to confirm and reserve).

Donations are accepted and appreciated, and volunteers are welcome.
