A BUITI INARU (Beautiful Woman) who's IRI (Name) is Arenahi suggested I bring the language postings I've done with pics in the Language Forum over here. I think her idea ws a good one, especially when there is a possibility the pics used to illustrate these words may somehow get lost. I appreciate the idea, and I would like to see more and more posted here to help in ALL Native languages represented in ICN. Naturally, I'll be bringing Taino words. Bring it on people!!!

Are the Taino words also included in the earlier discussion regarding the ICN version of a Taino dictionary? Please add them on that post as well. That way we can continue to develop listings for each of the languages we have interest in. This is awesome, thank you for posting!-c

Quick correction, Puma is actually a Quechua word, meaning brave. The Nahuatl word for these cats is Miztli, so cat is Mizton, or little Puma ;).

Cool! Oh and Arenahi is not my name but it means "revival" or "revitalization" in Karifuna. (Maybe I should change it.)
Arena = to revive, to revitalize
hi= suffix put on noun to denote a more abstract idea. It's related to Taino -hu (I believe i saw that in another post).
