- About Me:
- I am a historian of the early Caribbean specialized in Afro-Indigenous relations and the pre-history of what the Black Panther Party would later call "revolutionary intercommunalism."
- Research Interests:
- I am interested in how people get free, what freedom means ot them, and how they relate to other free and unfree peoples both during the struggle for and after the achievement of that freedom. I am currently exploring this in the context of the early Caribbean, looking at Afro-Indigenous relations in particular and more specifically at relations between autonomous Indigenous communities and Afro-descendant Maroon communities.
