- About Me:
- US-born descendant of Cuban immigrants. My mothers side was from semi-rural central Cuba. I personally do not believe that the Native American blood that most (non-Oriente/Camaguey) Cubans possess is "PRIMARILY" Taino blood. I Believe that the Ciboney people of central Cuba were a complicated, more ancient mixture, probably having more to do with the Seminoles, Cherokee, Etc. than with the Arawaks. I have always thought that many of the elders in my family bore a strong resemblance to North American Native people.
