Aside from writing, directing and producing theater, Miss Villamán Matos has conducted and published research on Dominican religious syncretism, The Feast of the Holy Cross, Yoga and Hindu rituals.

She has also published four books of poetry: Caso Abierto and BX15 A Poetic Journey, El Silencio de los Inocentes, Anatomy of an Illness. The Keepers of the Mysteries, the Feast of the Holy Cross in Dominican Republic.
