An online forum dedicated to expounding the spiritual traditions of ancient and contemporary Taino people of the Caribbean as understood by the CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE. Membership in this group does not make you a member in our Caney Circle. You need to enroll in the official membership community MECGC CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE to be a member. But as a part of this group you can get a taste of the Taino wisdom and tradition which we enjoy in the CANEY CIRCLE.See More

Born in South Florida (South Beach), relocated to upstate New York then RE located back to Florida in 1973. I have worked in the VA Hospital in Miami, and most of the HIV/AIDS CBOs from the Miami area since the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic (1983). I then began to work at the Broward County Health Department in 1999 in the AIDS Program Office. I graduated in 2005 with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Barry University. In 2006, I moved to Tallahassee and assumed a new position in the HIV/AIDS Surveillance Reporting Unit. I live with my 20 cats, one dog and some fish! I love the outdoors, nature, animals, connecting with my Taino roots, some good Salsa music and when I get excited I tend to talk real fast in Spanish!
