Tau to all. "I am Taino".. im 36 years old and ive been after taino knowledge for the past 6 years. My family is from Higuey Dominican Republic. I was born in Haina but raised in la romana and spent some time in la capital. I now live ironically in weston Florida. Home to what was once home to the tequesta tribe. My understanding they helped some tinos escape the savagery of colon. As a child I was always told we were indios but was never told much about it. We still have family up in the mountains that speak a more criollo dialect. Aside from the modern threads, they still live as they have for hundreds of years With minor interruption from modern societies.
