las ceremonias del Solsticio de Verano de Junio, 2017 fueron celebradas por los behikes y behikes bajo entrenamiento del CIRCULO ESPIRITUAL INDIGENA CANEY en varios sitios del continente este a~o.

En la ciudad de Pine Plains, New York el behike bajo entrenamiento Nelson Kaguamarix Zayas oficio la ceremonia y fue acompa~ado por varios miembros de la comunidad del resurgimiento taino, incluyendo el creador y administrador de la pagina de facebook TAINO 101, nuestro hermano Tomas Baibramael Gonzalez.
In the city of Pine Plains, New York the behike-in-training Nelson Kaguamarix Zayas officiated the ceremony and was joined by various members of the Taino Resurgence community, including the creator and adiministrator of the TAINO 101 facebook page, our brother Tomas Baibramael Gonzalez.
Nuestro hermano Tomas hizo el papel de YokaHu en la ceremonia y nuestra hermana Linda Gonzalez hizo el papel de AtaBey.
Our brother Tomas performed the role of YokaHu in the ceremony and our sister Linda Gonzalez performed the role of AtaBey.

After the ceremony Nelson honored his guest Tomas with a gift of a beautiful guayuko and ceremonial belt crafted by himself.

En la ciudad de Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania la ceremonia fue llevada a cabo en el local de ONE WORLD LOVE NATURAL NATIVE RESERVE que se encuentra ubicado en el barrio de Hazelwood de esa ciudad.
In the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the ceremony was carried out at the site of the ONE WORLD LOVE NATURAL NATIVE RESERVE, which is located in the neighborhood of Hazelwood of that city.
Entre los presentes se encontraba nuestro behike bajo entrenamiento Caney Taino, quien viajo desde New Jersey para celebrar la ceremonia aqui con nosotros.
Among those present was our behike-in-training Caney Taino, who travelled from New Jersey to celebrate the ceremony here with us.

Tome la oportunidad para explicar el proceso del ciclo anual del sol y como se producen los solsticios y los equinoccios. Use un peque~o palito doblado en forma de arco para demonstrar el viaje diario del sol atravez del cielo.
I took the opportunity to explain the process of the annual solar cycle and how the solstice and equinox phenomena are produced. I used a small twig bent in the form of an arch to demonstrate the path of the sun across the sky.
La Danza Del Sol Radiante de los hombres fue llevada a cabo.
The men's Radiant Sun Dance was celebrated.
Esta danza fue seguida por la procesion en la cual los hombres se reunen de nuevo con las mujeres y rodean el circulo de mujeres con el circulo de hombres para pintarle las caras con el anguente sagrado de bija.
This dance was followed by the procession via which the men rejoin the women and surround the women's circle with the men's circle to paint their faces with the sacred bija oil.

Afterward the Shark Dance was celebrated. This year's shark was crafted by behike Miguel Sague in cooperation with our brother Caney Taino.
Nuestro hermano Jim McCue hizo el papel de YokaHu y le disparo la flecha al tiburon.
Our brother Jim McCue performed the role of YokaHu and shot the arrow into the shark effigy.
