Para mi fue un honor compartir con mi familia taina de la ciudad de Lancaster, Pennsylvania este Sabado pasado 23 de Abril 2016. Celebramos juntos la ceremonia de Luna Llena de este mes.

It was an honor for me to share time with my Taino spiritual relatives living in Lancaster, Pennsylvania this past Saturday April 23, 2016. We celebrated the Full Moon Ceremony of this month together there.

La ceremonia fue celebrada bajo el liderato del kasike de la comunidad taina de Lancaster, el YUKAYAKE MANICATO. Kasike Guatu Iri a pasado dos a~os de entrenamiento para ser behike del Circulo Caney.

The ceremony was celebrated under the leadership of the kasike of the Taino community in Lancaster, YUKAYEKE MANICATO. Kasike Guatu Iri has undergone two years of training to become a behike of the Caney Circle.

Fuimos acompa~ados por nuestro hermano espiritual Guaribo Arroyo el cinematografo boricua de esta ciudad.

We were accompanied by our spiritual brother Guaribo Arroyo, a Boricua film maker of that city. 

El kasike me otorgo el honor de poder narrar una de las leyendas sagradas de nuestra tradicion taina, la historia de Deminan Caracaracol. Tambien me invite a lideriar varios de los cantos sagrados de nuestro circulo.

The kasike extended me a great honor by allowing me to narrate one of the sacred legends of our Taino tradition, the story of Deminan Caracaracol. He also invited me to lead several of the sacred songs of our circle.

Cuando se termino la ceremonia a mi me toco el honor de otorgale al kasike el certificado de iniciacion que confirma su posicion como behike official del Circulo Espiritual Indigena Caney.

When the ceremony was over it was my distinct honor to bestow upon the kasike the iniciation certificate that confirms his posicion as official behike of the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle.

  En unos cuantos dias yo le mandare a nuestro nuevo guia espiritual su collar ceremonial de behike.

In a few days I will send our new spiritual guide his ceremonial behike necklace.

Para mi a sido una bendicion muy especial haber participado en esta ceremonia. Le agradezco mucho a la comunidad de Yukayeke Manicato y al kasike Guatu Iri darme la oportunidad de tomar parte en el evento.

For me it was a very special blessing to participate in this ceremony. I am so grateful to the Yukayeke Manicato community and Kasike Guatu Iri for giving me the opportunity to take part in the event.
