Last Wednesday my 6 month old grandaughter passed away. Possibly Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Two years ago on the same date my teen son passed away. These moments challenge us spiritually in ways we can never imagine until we are there. A well known artist in Japan and a good Canadian friend sent me a sculpted dragon (usually sells for $5,000.00 USD) in honor of my son. I was told that many Japanese believe the human spirit after death soars with dragons. It was the most beautiful cross cultural spiritual gift I have ever seen. Regardless of our differences in culture, language and spiritual beliefs, we have created a cultural bridge of love and understanding from Japan, Canada and the Caribbean. This year I am on a Dragon Boat Racing Team in the Pacific Northwest USA. I dedicate this season to my preciosa Fatima Rose and to my son Rolandito.

Tau sister
Please know that the prayers and meditations of both my wife and myself are with you in your terrible grief for these two young souls that have crossed over to the realm of Coabay so untimely. I don't know if it is of any confort to you but please let me share with you our belief that upon arriving at that place their spirits are in the loving company of our ancestors who have nurtured us in life with the blessing de esta sagrada tradicion que ellos nos legaron, and who continue to care for us once we join them back there in the womb of our blessed Earth Mother Ata Bey.
