Just to state the obvious, this network has a new chat function. The previous chat room, which was external to the network, has been closed. Luckily, we now have a solution that appears to be better than all previous attempts.
The settings for this network have now been set to private. Exchanges can longer be freely seen by anyone on the Internet, nor searched and cached by entities like Google. Initially, the openness of the network was to allow others to benefit from the many valuable resources being produced within the network, including the discussions, which themselves attracted the attention of more people who then joined. However, in the interests of confidentiality and privacy, this is no longer the case.
Finally, given the sudden increase in sex spammers and marketers who were attracted to an open network that anyone could join, new members will now have to apply to join and have their details reviewed before they will be admitted.
