Tau My Relative You are cordially invited to celebrate Winter Solstice by
participating in the traditional Taino Winter Solstice Ceremony of
the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle in Miami FLA
Our ceremony will include the sacred tying ritual in which a three-
point cemi sculpture of Yoka Hu will be tied to the oval-shaped stone
hoop that represents the divine uterus of Ata Bey our Cosmic
Matriarch. This ritual symbolizes the arrival of Yoka Hu's soul at
the womb place of CoaBay after a three week journey through the realm
of Death. This arrival at the divine uterus means that on that day,
during the Winter Solstice season Yoka Hu will begin to gestate as an
embryo within the Divine Mother's sacred womb so as to finally be re-
born three months later at Spring Equinox in March.
Visit our Caney Spiritual Circle website and learn more about this Solstice tradition
