Thank you for the invitation... I would love to attend, but have a prior commitment for tomorrow.
I am very much interested in attending, connecting, learning, and participating in future events I reall appreciate you keeping me informed. I feel I would be most able to participate in events that are a day long, etc because I live in Wilmington, DE and believe where you are located is a bit of a distance.
**I tried to send this message to you directly, but ws unable...I'm not sure if it's a problem with the site or my computer...?
Thank you for your message. No problem regarding the response.
There may be a possibility for you to come to Delaware for Ceremony sometime in the Spring or early Summer. I'm not sure. I believe that you would enjoy this area of people and places of nature.
Thank you for the Blessings:-) I hope that you and your loved ones had a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you celebrate this holiday. I will let you know of a possibility to come to the DE area.
Sorry I didn't mean to offend with my playing out metaphor, what I was cruelly asking was about the Taino language reconstruction projects, not the cultural revivals
Hello my brother . I would like to have a Taino wedding in the future. Not so sure were yet. Could you please tell me a little about this ceremony or who does the ceremony ? Thank you abrazos.
Thank you for your warm welcome! Actually, your name was given to me by my friend and colleague, Peter Burke. That is why I sought out your webpage and signed up! I would love to communicate further with you about the Peace is the Human Way project!
Thank you so much for welcoming me into the community. I am excited about learning more about my heritage I would love to learn the language and my children are very interested in learning as well..so excited
Beike, I am all set up to buy the book on the blog but I realized that I don't have the title or author! If you have time, could you help me out with that? Thank you so much. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day.
Takaji Beike, Just a reminder about the book that was previously spoken of. One more thing...is it in English? Hope your day is pleasant & enjoyable. The best, to you &your family. Taino Ti KOKUYO
Beike, Thank you so much for your answer & your offer to translate was amazing! Is there a book in English that you might recommend?...or should I just continue with the information provided here in the circle? Thanks for your input,. I truely appreciate it. Taino Ti KOKUYO
My brother! I was just sending you a message.. I actually did a semester-long research project on the lack of awareness and education among Cubans regarding their indigenous past. This is what I hope to continue researching as a graduate student. I am happy to have found this community.
Friend, that project is somewhere in an old computer, but I will look around for it. However, I would be happy to email you a copy of a paper discussing assimilation and acculturation.
Also, I have been chosen as Vice-President of the newly formed Global Indigenous Group at Florida International University. We are planning to have a big celebration on September 7. We are looking for performers, storytellers, vendors, crafts, etc. If you know of anyone, send them my way. I will announce it to the community when we have a few more details figured out!
Hi Miguel .question .I love taino history but don't know enough about the history or culture And spirituality and stories.I would love to learn more but not just from books but face to face to be part of it.because l would really like to pass it down to my children the right way so they can grow up stronger to be empowered knowing who they really are.question how do l do this
I am looking forward to getting to know you mi Hermano and to learn about our heritage so I can pass it on to my children who are already proud of their Cuban heritage and very excited to learn about their Taino heritage. Thank you for the warm welcome. I committed this summer to do the Sundance again and am looking forward to it again and am looking forward to learning all the customs, ceremonies, songs, and history of our people. Thank you again, Reinaldo "Standing Eagle" my Chippewa Spirit name Lazo and one Day I hope to receive my Taino name (what an emotional day that would be if I was ever seen to be worthy to have one)
I'd like to know our Taino birth ritual. I am currently expecting and would like to marry my African roots and Taino roots for my child's birth. I plan on doing a naming ceremony. Any help please!

Thank you for the welcome Brother, I'm so grateful to be here. I find what you have said makes my heart beat Ike thunder, as my maternal Grandmother now my Ancestor named me after her little crow daughter of Mother Crow. Looking forward to learning more. One love!!

Behike thank you for allowing me into this wonderful family. I can not find the words to express the treasure trove I have found through you. Bendiciones para todos

Thanks for your kind invitation and offer to share.
What I seek is to integrate The Tainos in Hispaniola (Haiti and Dom Rep) into a coherent group as the Puerto Rican Natives had done.
I will devour your blog when time allows.
I do need inmediate help getting the names of the first rebellious Cacique in Boriken.
Cuba had Hatuey. Haiti had Lemba and Dominicans had Enriquillo. Which one is the equivalent in Boriken?
Much Help needed and appreciate it.
