Taino ti,
I am here because I have no elders who know the old ways. I want to learn about our regalia, ceremonies, spiritual ways, language - all of it. I am in eastern ma. and there is no one to turn to for accurate information. I have a responsibility to pass on my culture. I have not made regalia for fear of being wrong. I wear regalia of the region, or actually other regions, until I can come to know my own.

Takaji (Greetings) and Mabrika (Welcome) sister to our network. I was touched by the comments you have posted in your profile. You did not identify the tribal association that you identify with. I am going to assume that you are Taino. Please know that we represent a spiritual community who follow a ritual and inspirational path based on the ancient traditions of our Taino ancestors. Please visit our CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE website for published printed material which provides more guidance on these sacred ways. You may also be interested in visiting our video channel TAINO SPIRITUALITY to review some of our films, and my blog pages here at INDIGENOUS CARIBBEAN NETWORK for constantly updated record of our activities among our far-flung Taino communities here on the continent and also back on the islands.
I hope these links are of some help in putting you on track to learn our traditional ways. You are free to contact me here in ICN or on facebook under the name Miguel Sague.
