El Sabado 18 de Marzo tuve el honor de participar en la celebracion de la ceremonia de Equinoccio de Primavera del 2023 en New York con la communidad de Yukayeke Guainia y la Confederacion Unida del Puebio Taino lideriada por mi hermano espiritual Kasike Roberto Mukaro Borrero

On Saturday March 18 I had the honor of participating in the celebration of the 2023 Spring Equinox ceremony in New York City with the community of Taino Yukayeke Guainia and the Confederation of Taino People, led by my spiritual brother Kasike Roberto Mukaro Borrero.
La ceremonia comenzo con la bendicion del guatu sagrado, el fuego.

The ceremony began with the benedicton of the sacred guatu, the fire.
La ceremonia del Equinoccio de acuerdo a las tradiciones del Circulo Espiritual Indigena Canery se llevo a cabo bajo un bello cielo azul con sol y con temperatura relativamente calurosa.

The Equinox ceremony according to the traditions of the Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle was carried out under a beautiful blue sunny sky and a relatively warm temperature.
Despues del rito del tabacolas mujeres se separan de los hombres para participar en la Danza del Sibukan y luego la Danza de la Serpiente Boa Constrictora, un rito que rinde tributo a la madre tierra atravez de su animal avatar la serpiente.

After the tobacco ritual the women move away from the men to participate in the Sibukan Dance and the Boa Constrictor Serpent Dance, a ritual that renders tribute to Mother Earth through her avatar animal, the serpent.
La ceremonia culmino con la separacion del cemi trigonolito de Yokahu y el aro litico ovalado que representa el utero de Atabey. El espiritu de la vida nace. Es el principio del ciclo del a~o.

The ceremony culminated with the separation of the three-point Yokahu cemi from the oval stone hoop that represents the womb of Atabey. The spirit of Life is born. It is the beginning of the new year cycle.
