It was for me an honor to officiate the wedding of Christian Simms (Cei Jay) and the young man Gregory Dinkins this past Saturday September 5, 2015 in Wikins Twp, Pennsylvania which is a suburb of the city of Pittsburgh.

The ceremony was carried out according to the tradition of the CANEY INDIGENOUS SPIRITUAL CIRCLE, which is the legacy of our Taino ancestors in this era.
Cei Jay is the grand daughter of much loved friend of my wife Leni and mine. Her name was Tomasine Simms, of Seminole ancestry, and she passed away some years ago now. Tomasine's daughter, called Lisa is a young woman that we have known since she was only eleven years old. We saw her grow up and she has always known us as Uncle Miguel and Aunt Leni, as well as her children, Bear and Cei Jay who we have known since they were born. The Simms family, which also includes our friend Leona, her daughter Pam and her brother Russel, is one of the founding families of the local Indigenous center back in the 1960's. Russel is still the executive director of the center, called COUNCIL OF THREE RIVERS AMERICAN INDIAN CENTER.
