This is the sound file to the Full Moon Ceremony chant. The lyrics to this chant proclaim the fact that human women express in their bodies a monthly cycle that is intimately related to the lunar cycle of the divine woman Ata Bey. The proclamation identifies that lunar cycle as a cosmic cycle and therefore the human menstrual cycle is perceived as a cosmic rhythm. That is why we say that the "women have within them the rhythm of the universe". The lyrics to this chant are taken from the words of a prayer that we in the Caney Circle recite every month at our Full Moon Ceremony.
