The amazingly talented and socially conscious U.S. alternative rock band PORTUGAL. THE MAN performed at the Petersen Events Center here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last evening. I was honored to present the Indigenous land acknowledgement at the opening of the show in behalf of our Pittsburgh-based COUNCIL OF THREE RIVERS AMERICAN INDIAN CENTER and my tribal community the UNITED CONFEDERATION OF TAINO PEOPLE.
