    I will like to know if any of the members are familiar with the ancient Arawak/Carib history and any relationship with the Taino and or the Incas prior to colonization.

    Dear brother Ruben -I have read the war story of the caribs of St Vincent and actually I'm tryinmg to find any involvment of the black caribs in the haitian war against the european .Here they seem to forget their past or they have been mislead by reading european book and finally think only of their african ancestry . do you have any clue because for myself I strongly think that we had black caribs in the indigenous army in Haiti- Why pure African would have chosen to give the island its old arawak name - ?You see the connectionmust be very strong - .
    Bty the way it seems that the boats fool of Nigerian which sunk by St Vincent could have been Dutch.
    we will work on those subjects who knows what will surface?

    I have not a direct link to that particular issue in the Haitian history - I do think that the islands are very connected and that the Garifuna were very aggressive fighters - they were feared from everyone - it would not be a surprise to see them participate in haitian revolution . According to my belief all the warriors classified mulatos were not : they ranged from native of the island to garifuna and so called mulatos . actually two of Toussaint Louverture generals ( Jean Francois Papillon and George Biassou) could have been Garifuna.
