I think it is important to bring to the attention of the public that this is the twentyfirst century and not the 1800's. It is no longer acceptable to name places after genocidal murderers!

I recently saw an image of a map of Florida dated 1601 that shows the area in question named "Ais". So I would like to see it returned to that name. Other Florida areas have native names for their towns, rivers etc and some are quite beautiful but not Brevard where I live.  It should be named Ais Island as it would honor a culture of people that lived here thousands of years.
