Wow!  Once again, this is wonderful, Nelson.  Hahom Bo-matum, d'atiao, for uploading and sharing these valuable articles!  :)

There is also a Cherokee story about hungry (bad) boys floating up to create the Pleiades (http://www.ilhawaii.net/~stony/597myths.html). There is also an Onondaga story that is similar (http://www.firstpeople.us/FP-Html-Legends/OriginofthePleiades-Onond...).

What does this mean that there are so many stories about the Pleiades and hungry children? Does this simply indicate that all of our Native relatives are truly related, that we simply shared our stories far and wide, or that somehow we have all intuited some sort of connection with the Pleiades and hunger and/or children?

Perhaps one thing it shows is a close connection between South American, Caribbean, and North American Natives.

I love the connection whatever it means.

This is fascinating, Jeffry.  Hahom Bo-matum, d'atiao, for uploading and sharing these valuable articles.  :)
